The Partners have invested as a team and operated businesses since 1989, and have successfully deployed more than $1 billion of capital at high rates of return. The Partners have a broad experience base investing in a variety of industries, transaction structures and geographies. Furthermore, Silverhawk benefits from Mark Demetree’s diverse operating background across a number of industrial sectors.
Jim is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Silverhawk Capital Partners. Prior to founding Silverhawk, Jim was a Partner at Wachovia Capital Partners (formerly, First Union Capital Partners). Mr. Cook joined Wachovia in 1989 and was a Partner since 1995. Previously he was employed by Kidder, Peabody & Company, Incorporated and The Bank of New York. Jim is currently a director of Meridian Chemicals, American In-Home Care and Kissner Holdings.
Jim earned his B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Finance from the University of Virginia. He received his M.B.A from Harvard Business School.
Jim lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife and three children.

Ted is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Silverhawk Capital Partners. Prior to founding Silverhawk, in 2005, Ted served as Managing Partner of Wachovia Capital Partners (formerly, First Union Capital Partners) from 1989 to 2002. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Shareholder in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Kidder, Peabody & Company Incorporated in New York. Ted is currently a director of Incline Energy Partners, L.P., Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI), Meridian Chemicals, Spartan Energy Partners and Summit Materials LLC (SUM). He was previously a director of Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) from 1997 until the management buyout in 2007, a director of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) from 2011 to 2014, a director of Athlon Energy (ATHL) from 2013 until its sale to Encana in 2014, and a director of Encore Acquisition Company (EAC) from 2001 until its sale to Denbury Resources, Inc. in 2010.
Ted earned his B.A. in Economics from Duke University. He earned his J.D. and his M.B.A degrees from the University of Virginia.
Ted and his wife, Lisa, have three daughters.

David is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Silverhawk Capital Partners. Prior to founding Silverhawk, David was a Partner with Wachovia Capital Partners (formerly, First Union Capital Partners). He joined Wachovia Capital Partners in 1996. Previously, David was employed by First Union’s Leveraged Finance Group. David is currently the Chairman of American In-Home Care, and is a director of Kissner Holdings and Meridian Chemicals.
David earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Duke University.
David lives in Greenwich, CT with his wife and three children.

Mark is a co-founder and Operating Partner of Silverhawk Capital Partners.
Mark is currently the Chairman and CEO of Kissner Holdings; and, the Chairman of Meridian Chemicals. He is also a director of American In-Home Care and Spartan Energy.
Previously, Mark served as Chairman of Texas Petrochemicals, Inc. (TXPI) (2004-2009), was a Director of American Italian Pasta Co. (AIPC) (1998-2010), and was Chairman and CEO of British Salt Holdings, LLC and its affiliate US Salt, LLC. From 2002-2004 he was Chairman and CEO of American Grinding Systems, LLC. From 1993 to 1997 he was President of North American Salt Company, a subsidiary of Compass Minerals, Inc. (CMP).
Mark earned his B.S in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Brent has been involved with Silverhawk Capital Partners since 2006 and currently is responsible for compliance and reporting. Brent’s experience includes hands-on CFO roles with complex, highly-leveraged businesses in the chemical, nutraceutical and foodservice sectors and five years with Ernst and Young specializing in the areas of audit and consulting.
Brent is a member of the AICPA and earned his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Kansas with an emphasis in Finance.
Brent lives in Olathe, Kansas with his wife.
Amanda is an Executive Assistant at Silverhawk Capital Partners. Prior to joining Silverhawk, Amanda was an executive assistant at Amaranth Group, a Greenwich based hedge fund.
Amanda has a B.S. in Business Administration from Berkeley College.
Amanda lives in Stamford, CT with her husband and two children.
